Ghostwolf is delighted to present the mixed media thesis work of Mariah Rosales. Mariah explores connections to generational trauma, childhood, upbringing, relationships, loss, healing, and other life experiences reflected on through her transition into adulthood. She uses hands as a common motif to represent the spectrum of loss, grief, and letting go. Deeply personal in nature, the series invites the viewer to reflect on their own relationships and life experiences. Mariah is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at the University of New Mexico. Join us in celebration and support of her work and accomplishments!

Wild Hearts Gallery in Placitas presents "Within Water", paintings and prints by Marcia Rackstraw. The featured work focuses on water -- the animals and vegetation that live in water. Each work invites the viewer into an intimate space of quiet contemplation, the silence broken only by the distrubance of the water's surface with a flash of color or a muted splash.

Fun, playful, tender and profound, Bright Spaces, Welcome Places: A Celebration of Queer & Trans Joy features artwork in a range of media by eighteen queer and trans artists in the LGBTQ+ community. The juried group show holds space for both/and, transformation, self-creation, gender creativity and the joy of queer and trans lives. An accompanying exhibit of stoneware pottery by Brianna Rickson and printmaking by Nichole Hendrix will be on view in North Fourth Art Center’s new exhibiting space, Gallery X.

In conjunction with the celebration of Dia De Los Muertos The Garden will host an evening of lamentation and joy. Mixed media paintings by Arielle Renee depict colorful endangered birds of the Americas as a way to pay homage to the beautiful exotic nature that has been destroyed and threatened. Collectively, we will celebrate the beauty of nature and mourn our own loss of connectivity. There will be offering candles with an altar, live singing by a traditional vocalist, and refreshments. Please bring a donation of $5.00.
