The Groove Artspace (309 Gold SW) is celebrating our amazing community of diverse artists with a dedicated February show titled "GROOVY: Artists' Exhibit," with new work by Mara Elana, Carol Lutz, Brad Samuel, Catalina Salinas, Andrew Hanenberg and other Groove community artists. Featured artist is Ken Romig, pictured here with his sketchbook, and we will have live music from Eddie and the Keefs (photo below). Opening Reception will take place on Friday, Feb 7 from 5-9, and a poetry break at 7pm will feature rap by Elder Beat Master 9.

Every bead tells a story of cultural significance that informs and inspires her work. Sandy Johnson has mastered the art of metal smithing. Beginning with glorious, semi-precious stones, she saws, melts and hammers the metal to create bold, expressive, unique jewelry.
