Local Treasures Awards Ceremony

June 5th (1-3pm) at the Albuquerque Museum

The Albuquerque Art Business Association (AABA) is honored to present the 2022 Local Treasures with a reception 1 p.m on Sunday, June 5th, at the Albuquerque Museum. Regina Held, director of the Gallery With A Cause at the New Mexico Cancer Center, will be the Local Treasures master of ceremonies. For the 13th year, the Albuquerque Art Business Association will honor area artists who not only excel in the arts, but who have given back to their communities. By sharing their time, talent, and passion, they help develop a whole new generation of art lovers and artists and ensure that New Mexico will continue to be home to thousands of working artists for many years to come. The 2022 recipients are Nina M. Adkins, Diane Buster, Roger Green, Yolanda Howren Jones, Julia Lambright, Ivana Starcevic, and Risa Taylor.

In addition to the Treasures awards the organization has also awarded Roy Sumner Johnson of Sumner & Dene the President’s Award for his dedication, creative ingenuity, and outstanding contributions to the local arts community, and Pimentel & Sons Guitarmakers a Lifetime of Excellence award. The Pimentel Brothers will provide music for the ceremonies. Light refreshments will be served.
