In Memorium: A Tribute to Jeff Warren

Albuquerque artist Jeff Warren passed away suddenly on August 30, 2022. His skillfully rendered paintings had dramatic and fanciful themes inspired by his decades of experience in the theater, which included performing, set designing, directing, and teaching. Three of his many credits are appearing on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, off Broadway as the leading role in The Drunkard, and as Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha. After 25 years in theater, he spent another 25 years as a Drama/Stagecraft teacher at a prestigious private school in Los Angeles. In 2011, he retired to Tijeras, NM, and took up painting and running Warren Fine Art and Collectibles in Old Town Albuquerque. He had said that his artwork is best described as romantic realism with some surrealism and still life. The arts community will miss him greatly.

Jeff’s art is still available for a limited time at The Gallery ABQ, 8210 Menaul Blvd, NE, Albuquerque. During the month of November, The Gallery ABQ salon show is paying tribute to his art. The First Friday Reception for this show is Nov. 4, 5–8 pm. (thegalleryabq.com).Albuquerque artist Jeff Warren passed away suddenly on August 30, 2022.
