The Groove Artspace is so excited to announce that our Friday August 2 ARTScrawl is our Bangin' First Birthday Bash with dance band Blame It On Rebekkah making it a party!! There will be cake, balloons, activities, open studios and wonderful Groovy Market vendors. Please join us to celebrate an amazing first year in the downtown art scene. The Groove Artspace will highlight textile artist Joseph Romero ("Joe's Bows") as our featured artist for the month of August. Joe turns antique and rare fabric into bow ties, suspenders, handkerchiefs and fine art.

TJ MEADE

Ghostwolf presents works by artist TJ Meade! TJ is a native New Mexican that has several murals around the metro area. He describes his painting process as chaotic, layering and scraping until the piece takes on a life of its own. With a focus on process over concept, TJ’s pieces invite the viewer to ponder the technique and imagery. His satisfaction comes from knowing that his pieces speak his own unique visual language.   • The New Mexico Art League invites artists to apply for an exhibition entitled: Beauty: Probably the most subjective and alluring topic: beauty. Created from the eye of the beholder, this exhibit will shine with New Mexico artists' interpretations of what is beautiful. Deadline for entries: August 24, 2024. The exhibit runs from October 10 to November 16, 2024, with the artists' reception scheduled for October 26, from 4 PM to 6 PM. All artists living and working in New Mexico are welcome to enter.
