The ALBUQUERQUE ABSTRACT ARTISTS ALLIANCE is inviting you to the opening of their inaugural exhibition, FORAY, at FUSION | 708 on Friday, October 3, from 5–7:30 PM. Featuring music by the Duke City Clarinets—Kasey Cote, Tyler Roberts, and Mike Roach. Presenting works from each member of the Alliance, FORAY will demonstrate the wide range of abstract aesthetics currently available to the viewing public and is not to be missed!

Harwood Art Center is pleased to present Encountering Masculinity by 2025 Artist in Residence, Jocelyn Salaz. Encountering Masculinity explores masculinity through the lens of the performative theory of gender. The companion exhibition, Paper Dolls & Identity Play, features works made by youth and adult artists in workshops Jocelyn led across her residency. Exhibitions are on view October 2nd - November 1st.

Laura Robbins: Healing Dreams
Long-time Placitas resident Laura Robbins is a founding member of Mosaic New Mexico, and has permanent mosaic installations at the Albuquerque Zoo, the Botanic Garden’s Dragonfly Sanctuary and the Open Space Visitor Center on Coors Blvd. For this exhibition, Laura uses mosaic as illustration, and reimagines her childhood stories through a lens of personal wisdom. Dreams, insights and teachings take on a storybook form honoring mystery, the unknown cosmos, nature and heart. During First Sunday ARTScrawl, October 5 between 11 am and 2 pm Robbins will demonstrate her mosaic process.
