Gallery Hózhó at Hotel Chaco features Nostalgic Places: New Works by Julia Lambright. Her egg tempera paintings and pastels consider the connection between places and memory, the layers of plants and faces that linger in the mind. Indigenous Brilliance is exhibiting for the first time in the U.S. in N4th Gallery and is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first IB exhibit in London in 2012. The show offers a unique exhibition of contemporary Indigenous artwork by 15 Indigenous American artists in a range of styles and media, all demonstrating the theme of "Culture without Compromise" in conveying their cultures on their own terms.

The conversation will look at our complicated relationship with history in the 2020's. The event will be held online and in person at 516 ARTS at 6pm.

Also happening April 9-11: 516 ARTS presents the Desierto Mountain Time Field Trip, a 516-led bus trip from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, El Paso and Ciudad Juárez featuring private tours of NMSU Art Museum, The Rubin Center for the Visual Arts and Museo de Arte de Ciudad Juárez, a guided visit to Casa De Adobe and a variety of activities with our partners León De la Rosa Carrillo and Christian Diego Diego.

Mother & Daugher Show: Eliza M Schmid & Monah Li
Monah Li is a European trained fashion designer. She escaped Los Angeles and now lives happily in Santa Fe, where she sells her fashions at the mercado each weekend. Eliza M Schmid is a latecomer to art, now making up for lost time by painting daily with great enthusiasm. She paints in oils and in egg tempura producing images that are both realistic and abstract.
