MISSION & HISTORY
The ARTScrawl People, sponsoring and promoting Albuquerque's original First Friday event since 2005!
The Albuquerque Art Business Association has advocated for the arts in the greater Albuquerque area since 1982. The organization focuses on professional networking and community education and outreach, and works with artists, art businesses, and non-profit organizations towards that end. The AABA sponsors monthly First Friday ARTScrawl (since 2005!), Meet the Artist, and Sundays in the Village (specific to the village of Corrales) events which include exhibit openings, receptions, demonstrations, and special events. The organization also features the Local Treasures program, which honors local artists who make exceptional contributions to their communities, and represent our diverse art scene.
