516 ARTS presents the opening reception of GEOHAPTICS: Sensing Climate, a group exhibition uniting poignant works from artists who enact a somatic, empathic collaboration with the Earth using the senses, heart, and mind. The exhibition includes national and regional artists that include Athena LaTocha, Mitsu Salmon, Beili Liu, Ella Morton, Alexis Elton, Jason Franscisco, Carol Padberg, Jonathan Marquis, Heidi Gustafson, and Sarah Gerats. Opening reception will be February 17 from 6-8pm, with a live performance by Mitsu Salmon at 6pm.
516 WORDS: Live Poetry with Mei-mei Berssenbrugge & Sawnie Morris. On February 22 from 6-8pm at 516 ARTS, acclaimed award-winning poet, Mei-mei Berseenbrugge, will read from her latest publication alongside Sawnie Morris. Sawnie Morris is an award-winning poet, prose writer, and professional environmental activist—as well as a dream worker—with over twenty years of teaching experience.

Tome Gallery artists have a passion for art which pays off with an annual fundraiser to benefit art students at UNM Valencia with Soup R Bowl Sunday. Over the years, Tome Gallery artists have funded over 50 $1,000 scholarships. Patrons can buy a handmade ceramic bowl and a ticket to lunch at the UNM Student Center Feb. 11, 11-2. $20. Sales are at Tome Gallery and the Student Bookstore now and at the door the day of the event.

Please join us at the UNM School of Architecture + Planning on Friday, February 2nd from 4:30- 6 PM for the opening reception of menagerie of DREAMers, an exhibition featuring the work of Alaa Quraishi and Carlos Sabogal. The exhibition looks to the experience of DACA recipients through a series of bedrooms. Each bedroom centers a set of artifacts morphing into a dream-like state, telling a story.
