Marian Berg has loved creating art since childhood. She studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College and the University of New Mexico. She became enchanted with the land and people of New Mexico forty years ago and has been joyfully painting them ever since. Marian is an award-winning artist and works in several mediums, primarily fused glass and oil painting. Marian is currently licensed as a K-12 Art Educator and is also a Registered Nurse.

From Decimas to Spoken Word

516 ARTS and AfroMundo collective present From Decimas to Spoken Word, a literary event AT 516 ARTS. Brazilian poets Mel Adún and Guellwaar Adún will read original works that intergenerationally bridge Spanish, Portuguese, and English language spoken word traditions. They will be joined with three local youth poets: Monica Aguilar, J. Gourdin, and Leandro Pita. April 16, 2023.

In cooperation with the AABA, the Hotel Andaluz hosts quarterly exhibitions that showcase work from local galleries. The hotel gallery is on the mezzanine alongside the Ibiza Lounge, one of three hotel dining experiences. The first exhibition in 2023 features select works from Amapola Gallery, Yucca Gallery, and Ghostwolf Gallery. This exhibition is on view through April 10.
