Many Worlds Are Born
516 ARTS has teamed up with the national Art Meets History initiative and the Albuquerque Museum Photography Archives to present a contemporary art exhibition "Many Worlds Are Born". The project looks at how the divergent histories of race, conflict, and colonialism in New Mexico inform how we imagine our futures.
As an extension of this exhibition, join us for "Exploring Black and Indigenous Geographies in New Mexico". Three artists from Art Meets History: Many Worlds Are Born, Jeanna Penn, Leo Vicenti, and Nikesha Breeze discuss how an understanding of Black or Indigenous geography may help us better relate to our neighbors. Visit 516arts.org/events to register. Both in-person and virtual available.
