How long have you been in business?
We have been part of the Old Town scene since 1980.

What sorts of offerings does your gallery have?
The gallery has wood—turned and carved; paintings—watercolor, oil, acrylic, impressionistic, realistic, abstract; photography; jewelry—beaded, silver, wrapped, and fused glass; ceramics—thrown and handbuilt; painted gourds; mosaic; mixed media; quilts, and some clothing. We are a diverse group of artists!

What makes your gallery special?
Amapola Gallery is a 40-member New Mexico artists' co-operative gallery.  We are a true co-op, run by and for the artists ourselves.

Anything else to add?

The week of August 1 through 8 Amapola Gallery will celebrate our 41 years in business with artist's demonstrations daily, live music, special promotions and more during regular business hours (10 am-5 pm). For Artscrawl, Amapola will celebrate our first Friday open house (August 6th, 5 pm-8 pm) since our big 40th anniversary party was cancelled by Covid. We are also planning a party for August 8th. We are calling this series of events "Forty Plus One:  Celebrating 41 years as an artists' co-op.
