ART EVENTS & MEMBER UPDATES
Encompass is a unique multigenerational art event that takes place annually each spring. It features four new outdoor installation commissions, one indoor gallery exhibition and online Open Studios shop and galleries. This year, the focus is on nourishment and interconnection in a time of distance. Featured artists are Lynnette Haozous, Ade Cruz, Caitlin Carcerano, Viola Arduini, Escuela Del Sol Montessori students and Harwood studio artists.

Neal Ambrose-Smith: The (Tense) Present, curated by Suzanne Newman Fricke, PhD, features work that combines a range of imagery and media to create a complex reflection on current events. Afton Love: Perfect Union explores geology, particularly how rocks are created and transformed on the earth’s surface. Both exhibitions are on view February 27-May 22, 2021.

The gallery is excited to have Virginia Primozic from Gallup, NM. She states on her website "The central element that unifies my work is the non-traditional medium of paper. With the exception of some occasional under painting, paper supplies all the color."
The oil paintings of New Mexico artists Carla Forrest and Peggy Trigg will be featured in their spring show Range of View from February 5 through March 26.
