Art in the School-AABA has also been involved in special projects such as the exhibition of work by young artists in the “Art in the School” program; juried shows of work by APS high school students in galleries along Central Avenue.
ARTScrawl-The Albuquerque Arts Business Association (AABA) has presented Artscrawl tours by district every third Friday since 1990. In 2005, AABA introduced First Friday Artscrawl, a citywide gallery tour. Both events offer exhibit openings, receptions, demonstrations and special events.
Classes-classes have been periodically offered at UNM Continuing Education for people who are interested in learning more about art but don’t want to go gallery hopping alone. The courses provide an overview of Albuquerque’s art venues, festivals, public events, and centers for learning with guest speakers and a guided field trip/tour utilizing the monthly Artscrawl event.
Emerging Creatives-The Emerging Creatives Juried Exhibition and Professional Development Program serves local artists and designers who are establishing their creative pursuits as their careers.
